Defence Ministry organises job fair for ex-servicemen at Mhow

Directorate General of Resettlement, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry  of Defence organised a Job Fair for Ex-Servicemen on 22 March 2024 at Garrison Ground, Near Infantry Museum,  Mall Road,  Mhow, Indore to bring the Ex-Servicemen seeking re-employment and the Employment providers on a common platform.

The event received an overwhelming response from the Ex-Servicemen from Madhya Pradesh. 743 Ex-Servicemen from Army, Navy and Air Force registered for seeking employment. 34 Companies participated in the Job Fair offering 592 Job Vacancies and 120 plus Entrepreneurship Opportunities

The shortlisted ESM would be interviewed/screened and subsequently employed in appointments ranging from Senior Supervisors, Mid/Senior level managers to Strategic Planners and Project Directors.

The event was beneficial for both Corporates and the Veterans. The veterans got a platform to showcase their technical and administrative prowess acquired during their years in service and the Corporates benefitted by screening the group of experienced, disciplined and trained Ex-Servicemen. Entrepreneurship models were also presented by various Companies during the Job Fair.

The Job Fair was inaugurated by Chief Guest Maj Gen Sanjay Sajjanhar, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor, MCTE, Mhow. Sunil Kalyankar, Convener, CII Madhya Pradesh State Panel on HR & IR was the Guest of Honour alongwith Maj Gen SBK Singh DG(R), Directorate General Resettlement , Brig Bikram Heeru, ADG, DRZ(Central), Brig LK Bhardwaj, VSM Station Commander, Mhow and Col Utpal Das, 4 MAHAR (Borders). Job Fair is a DGR initiative providing  second career options to Ex-Servicemen.
