Fire broke out at two places in Bhapal on Tuesday. The first incident took place near Chetak Bridge in MP Nagar, two shops and 3 cars were gutted in a fire that broke out in the Mechanic Market on the night on Monday.
A car was damages in the fire which was kept at the mechanic's place for repair. The other car belonged to a resident living in a house near the shops.
The Municipal Corporation's fire brigade team, which reached the spot after receiving information about the fire, controlled the fire after about 2 hours of effort. The fire was completely pacified by 6 am.
On the other hand, garbage caught fire in MP Nagar Zone 1 and which was pacified with the help of local people.
Fireman Firoz Khan of Pul Bogda Fire Control Room said that at around in the night on Monday, information about fire in shops near Chetak Bridge in MP Nagar was received.
On this, about 10 fire engines from other fire stations including Fatehgarh, Mata Mandir, BHEL, Bairagarh were sent to extinguish the fire.
The fire started from Nafees' scrap warehouse near Mechanic Market, which quickly spread to nearby shops. Nafees Khan's electronics material and repair shop also got burnt in the fire.
The car was damaged in a fire that broke out in a scrap yard near Chetak Bridge.
Fireman Firoz Khan said that it is not known what caused the fire in the shops. The fire started from Nafees Khan's scrap shop and within a short time, it spread to other shops. Drums of burnt engine oil and other items from damaged cars were also kept in the scrap warehouse. Due to this, there were loud explosions in the warehouse.
According to fireman Firoz Khan, a total of three cars including the car of a resident of Mechanic Market and the house in front were burnt in the fire.
He told that Sonal Sharma's new car also got burnt in the house built in front of Nafees Khan's scrap centre. Firoz told that Sonal Sharma's car was parked in the parking lot of the house.
But, the car kept in the parking lot caught fire due to the spark emanating from the explosion caused by the fire in the goods in the scrap centre.
