Some political leaders, including former Congress MLA Balram Tanwar, former AAP MLA from Badarpur Narayan Datt Sharma, former Councillor Ramesh Ambawat and chairman of the Delhi Government’s OBC Commission on Wednesday joined the BJP.

They joined party in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition South Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Ramvir Singh Bidhuri. Thakur and Sachdeva welcomed everyone into the party by garlanding with party scarf.

Union Minister Thakur, welcoming everyone into the party, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” campaign has brought holistic development to the country, and the central government assigns responsibilities based on an individual’s merit, rising above caste and religion.

He said this time also, the lotus will bloom in Delhi, and due to the developmental policies of the Modi government across the country, it is certain that Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time.

Thakur said when Arvind Kejriwal entered politics, he swore not to form an alliance with Congress, not to take a bungalow, not to take a car, but today, he has built a palace worth 100 crore rupees, and a swimming pool worth 10 crore rupees in his house.
