Hemant, Kalpana participates in Jagarnathpur Rath Yatra

Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren participated in the historic Jagannathpur Rath Yatra festival on Sunday.

Soren received the blessings of Mahaprabhu by participating in the worship-ritual program organized on this occasion. He prayed for the happiness, peace, prosperity and progress of the people of the State by duly worshiping Lord Jagannath, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.

 The Chief Minister congratulated and wished all the people of the state on the Rath Yatra. He raised slogans of Jai Jagannath along with thousands of devotees present in the gathering of faith and devotion and by touching the rope of the chariot, took Lord Jagannath, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra forward to Mausibari.

On the occasion Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, MLA Kalpana Soren, MLA Naveen Jaiswal, MLA Rajesh Kachhap, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Thakur, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay and Vinod Pandey along with other dignitaries participated in the worship-ritual organized on the occasion of the historic Rath Yatra.

The Jagannath temple of Ranchi is historical. It was built in the year 1691 AD by Nagavanshi King Aninath Shahdev. The temple of Lord Jagannath in Ranchi is built on a high rock which looks very picturesque. A grand fair has also been organized here which will continue for the next fortnight..
