Jharkhand may face rain, storms for next two days

Due to western disturbance, there will be storms in Jharkhand for two days. This will impact many districts of the State. Yellow alert has been issued regarding this in entire State by Ranchi, Indian Meteorological Center on Saturday. Meanwhile, it will rain at many places.

The Meteorological Center Head, Abhisek Anand said that there is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature during the next 24 hours in the State. After this, there may be a gradual increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the next 3 to 4 days in the entire State, he added.

Anand further said that, light rain and thunder are expected at some places in the southern and adjacent central parts of the State on February 25 and February 26. It is likely to affect Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan districts, he added.

According to the Centre, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thunder at some places in the state on February 27.

The Center Head also said that there is a possibility of thunderstorm and strong wind gust at isolated places in the southern and adjacent central parts of the state. “The wind speed is likely to be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. It is likely to affect Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan districts,” he added.

“There is a possibility of thunder and strong wind at some places in the state on February 27. Wind speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Its impact is expected to be felt in the entire State,” said Anand.
