Kejriwal has turned AAP into haven for criminals, corrupt individuals: BJP

Thursday, 29 February 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

Delhi BJP President  Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Wednesday said the Delhi BJP has consistently maintained that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has turned the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) into a heaven for criminal and corrupt individuals, and today, once again, the dark side of the Aam Aadmi Party’s face has come to light with MLA Prakash Jarwal being convicted for murder by the court.

Delhi BJP media head Praveen Shankar Kapoor said the AAP is a black party whose all leaders have allegations on them.

Sachdeva claimed Jarwal is the patron of the tanker mafia in South Delhi and in 2021, a doctor from his constituency committed suicide leaving a note accusing him of his financial mental harassment, after which he remained in jail and is currently out

on bail.

The BJP has consistently demanded action against this criminal legislator from the Chief Minister, but Kejriwal has not taken any action against his tainted aide probably because Jarwal has been contributing a significant portion of the collection from tanker mafia into party’s fund.

Sachdeva said the relevant court has convicted  Jarwal of murder, after which it is certain that his membership of the Legislative Assembly will end.

Bidhuri said AAP is a group of criminals, and when the case of  Jarwal came up, at that time also, BJP strongly opposed it, and at that time, Arvind Kejriwal also expressed his views in defence of his legislator.

He said when the court’s decision comes, his MLA Jarwal will be removed, but today Arvind Kejriwal should apologize to the doctor’s family and expel his tainted MLA, LoP Bidhuri said.

The two BJP leaders said Delhi BJP demands that Kejriwal immediately expel not only Jarwal but also other legislators such as Amanatullah Khan, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Somnath Bharti, Akhilesh Tripathi, Sanjeev Jha, and others who are facing criminal or corruption cases from the Legislative Assembly and the Aam Aadmi Party.
