Shahjahanabad police have arrested the accused who killed a 22-year-old youth due to old rivalry in Idgah Hills area on Thursday.
Police said that at around 2.15 in the afternoon information was received that a youth was fatally attacked with a sharp weapon by an unknown person in Neelkanth Colony, Idgah Hills.
As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. Where Sonu Suryavanshi was found injured and was taken to Hamidia Hospital where he died during treatment.
On the basis of the evidence and preliminary investigation case under section 302 of the IPC was registered.
A team was formed under and the accused identified as Sonu Athiya was nabbed near Kamal Flour Mill, Regiment Road Shahjahanabad, Bhopal
The accuses was arrested within few hours of the crime and sharp edged weapon used in the crime was seized by the police. The accused was produced in the court on Friday and has been sent under judicial custody.
