Legal services cum empowerment camp at Palashbani Panchayat

On the instructions of JHALSA, under the auspices of District Legal Services Authority, Jamshedpur and District Administration, East Singhbhum, on 24 February 2024, state level legal service, keeping in mind the government schemes run for primitive tribes and weaker sections of the society, in Palashbani Panchayat of Jamshedpur Sadar Block.  legal services cum empowerment  camp was organized. J

HALSA  Executive Chairman Hon’ble Mr. Justice  Sujit Narayan Prasad was the chief guest in the program and the special guests was High Court Justice Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi.  Principal District and Sessions Judge Jamshedpur Anil Kumar Mishra, Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar Sinha,  Member Secretary JHALSA  Ranjana. Asthana, DLSA  Secretary Shri Nitish Nilesh Sanga, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri  Kaushal kishor  and other judicial officers and district level administrative and police officers were present. During the program, the guests were welcomed by Chhau dance performed by artists of primitive tribe and dance troupe in traditional attire of Jharkhand.

Besides, all the guests were honored on the stage by giving them flower bunches, covering them with shawls and giving mementos. The program started with lighting of the lamp by the guests and welcome speech by Principal District and Sessions Judge sri Anil Kumar Mishra. Hon’ble Mr. Justice  Sujit Narayan Prasad, the chief guest present in the program, said in his address that these mega camps have been organized targeting the weaker sections of the society and primitive tribal groups. He appealed to the people of the primitive tribe and said that they should be connected with the schemes of Govt., By becoming an aware citizen of India, join the mainstream of development and by being aware of your rights, take advantage of the welfare schemes run by the government.

 He said that the objective of NALSA is to settle as many cases pending in the courts as possible through Lok Adalat and Mediation and to end the cases at the local level through negotiations even before they come to the court and to provide the benefits of government schemes to the deprived people. benefits may reach to this manner so that the poorest of the poor can get justice. The purpose of organizing this mega camp in rural areas is to ensure that the needy people are not deprived of their rights.

At the same time, the special guest in this program, Justice of the High Court, Hon’ble Mr. Justice  Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, threw light on the importance of this mega camp in detail and said that through such mega camps organized in rural areas, people become aware of the law as well as their rights. In the program, DDC Manish Kumar Singha gave detailed information about the schemes run by the Central Government and State Government for the primitive tribes and weaker sections. Other people also addressed the mega camp.

More than 12000 people participated in this program and took advantage of the camp. During the program, assets worth 15.9 crores of rupees related to various schemes were also distributed among 12227 beneficiaries In this mega camp.  stalls were set up by various departments to give information about the welfare schemes of the government and also to connect the eligible people with the schemes. About 25 stalls were set up by other departments including Education, Health, Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Welfare, Social Welfare, Energy, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Labour, Social Security, Forest Department, Supply Department, where a large number of villagers reached and got information about the schemes. Also applied to avail benefits. total beneficiaries 11227, amount of benefits 15.9 crore.
