Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, described the presentation of the Economic Survey in the House by Finance Minister Atishi as mere jugglery of numbers.
Taking a dig at the AAP government, Bidhuri said it is surprising that on the one hand, the Kejriwal government is saying that we are not allowed to work, and on the other hand, claims of historic work are being made.
Bidhuri said that per capita income in Delhi has always been higher, while the government is portraying it as its charm.
“As far as the benefits to the government are concerned, the Kejriwal government in Delhi is not doing any work for the welfare of the people. Instead of progressing in the matter of Delhi’s infrastructure, it is regressing. Not only are new roads far from being built, but the maintenance of old roads is also not happening, which the Supreme Court had reprimanded the government. Regarding the issues of health and water boards, Atishi has accepted the failure of her government but has blamed the LG. If the government does not make development plans for the people and does not spend, then its revenue will automatically be saved. Bidhuri said that this time the government did not even present the outcome budget, which shows how many schemes of the previous budget have been implemented,” the BJP leader said.
He said that even in the economic survey, Atishi has targeted the Lieutenant Governor, which is extremely unfortunate.
“On one hand, the Kejriwal government claims that it has done work that no other government has done, but on the other hand, it is also crying that it is not allowed to work. Actually, when the account of their failures is demanded, they blame the Lieutenant Governor. The truth is that this is only a propaganda government and it continues to make false claims only through the manipulation of false claims and numbers,” he added.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva stated that the economic survey presented today in the assembly by Delhi’s Finance Minister Atishi is a routine economic report and has nothing unique in it.
