Thursday, 11 April 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Surprise inspections of government schools continued on the third day  by the officials of the state level monitoring team formed for different districts of the state for district-wise ground investigation of Prayas cum Project Impact (NEP). On the third day of monitoring, show cause has been issued by the officials taking action against many schools in case of negligence and indiscipline. Schools have been instructed to inform the officials about the work progress within a week.

In case the work is not found satisfactory, it has been recommended to stop the salaries of the HMs and teachers of the respective schools. The officials have given a week's time to Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School, Meral, Garhwa and Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School, Madhupur, Deoghar to improve the system. Expressing displeasure over the operation of Project Impact in SS + 2 High School, Bolba, Simdega and low enrollment in the school, the team has issued a show cause notice to the Principal of the school.

On the recommendation of the officials who went to Dumka for monitoring, the District Education Officer has suspended Mahendra Rajhans, Principal in-charge of District Chief Minister's Excellent School, Dumka. In his place, senior assistant teacher Babban Kumar has been appointed as the principal in-charge of the school. The state level monitoring team that went to inspect the school found the principal in-charge guilty of negligence in work.

The team officials said in their report that the school library was in a very poor condition. An order has been given to shift it, but the principal in-charge showed delay in shifting the library and has not completed the work till now. Describing it as a serious matter of disobeying the orders of the State Education Project, it was recommended to immediately suspend the Principal in-charge. After which suspension action has been taken against Principal in-charge Mahendra Rajhans.

In the case of negligence in distribution of funds for the purchase of sports materials, the State Education Project Director has taken action and issued a show cause notice to the overall education officials of Deoghar. In the ongoing show cause, the officials have been asked why the amount which was to be given to the schools for purchasing sports materials in the district has not been given yet? Angered by the fact that the funds have not yet been given to all the Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools and Jharkhand Girls Residential Schools of the district, the officials of the monitoring team sent a report to the State Education Project regarding negligence in work, after which the State Education Project Director took action and all the district level Show cause has been issued to Samagra Shiksha officials. If a satisfactory answer is not received, an order has been given to stop everyone's salary.

In the matter of drainage and water management, the monitoring officers had expressed their dissatisfaction with the work of the JE of Jawahar Balika Residential School, East Tundi and recommended action to the State Education Project, after which a show cause has been issued against the JE of the school. During the inspection of the school, the monitoring officials found the bathroom of the school damaged and also reported problems of water leakage and drainage in the school. After which, taking action, show cause notice has been sent to JE.
