Monitoring team takes action against 3 HMs, 14 teachers

Officials of the state level monitoring team formed as per the instructions of State Education Project Director Aditya Ranjan conducted surprise inspections of government schools in various districts of the state for the second day today. Show cause has been issued to many teachers and HMs of schools in connection with the negligence on the part of the officials who were monitoring the Prayas cum Project Impact (NEP) and disobeying the instructions of the State Education Project on the second day.

During the district-wise review, the officials reprimanded the teachers, principals and wardens for their negligence in complying with Project Impact in the schools and directed them to improve the condition of the schools within 15 days. While monitoring the campaign of the state level monitoring team, State Education Project Director Aditya Ranjan has directed to recommend strict action against the negligent schools. Besides, instructions have also been given to review the changes in schools every month after inspection. Besides, instructions have been given to re-assess the work progress in the schools inspected by the State Education Project Director and submit a report in the month of May.

District wise monitoring officials have sent a recommendation to the State Education Project Director for action against the HMs of three schools in cases of misconduct and indiscipline. The schools against which recommendations for action have been sent include District School (Dumka), RK Secondary School (Nala), Government Plus Two High School, Bhandaria (Garhwa), Plus Two High School (Giridih). Show cause has been issued against the HMs of all four schools.

In case of negligence in work and disobeying instructions, an order has been given to stop the salary of 14 teachers of Government Plus Two High School, Bhandaria (Garhwa) till further orders. Action has also been taken against the HM of this school. During surprise inspection, the team found him guilty of academic misconduct. During the inspection, all the teachers present in the school were seen chatting in the room of the in-charge headmaster instead of conducting classes. Whereas only 8 students present in class 12 were being taught by one teacher. A report was sent against all the teachers in case of indiscipline, after which, taking action, the State Education Project has issued an order to stop the salary of all 14 teachers and the headmaster in-charge till further orders. Orders have also been given to ensure departmental action against these teachers as per rules.

During inspection by Simdega team, it was found that renovation of tiles, grill, wiring is necessary in SS +2 Chief Minister Excellent School. In this context, the state monitoring officials directed the school to renovate the school, and also asked for proper molding of the school.

In a virtual meeting with the state level monitoring officials who had gone for surprise inspection in various districts, Ranjan said that they should not show any leniency against the schools which are being negligent. He ordered officials to monitor the instructions by conducting surprise inspections again in the inspected schools. Ranjan said that it is necessary for teachers and HMs of schools to develop a feeling that they cannot play with the future of children under any circumstances.
