New criminal laws emphasises on electronic evidence: Experts

Prof. V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor of Hidaytullah National Law University in Raipur, said the new criminal laws were drafted with emphasis on electronic evidence for transparency and accountability. A press communiqué from the university said he said this at the concluding event of a three-day capacity building workshop which ended on Wednesday.

Prof Ranbir Singh, a distinguished jurist and the guest of honour, underlined the necessity for further changes in criminal laws.

Earlier, Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Ashok Juneja said the Ministry of Home Affairs has recognized and appreciated the efforts of the Chhattisgarh Police and the HNLU for organizing such a well-structured and detailed training programme.
