No coercive action against ex-IAS, son: HC

Tuesday, 02 April 2024 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

The Chhattisgarh High Court on Monday ordered the police Anti Corruption Bureau/Economic Offence Wing (ACB/EOW) not to take any coercive action against former IAS officer Anil Tuteja and his son Yash Tuteja in connection with the alleged liquor scam unearthed during the previous Congress government in the state.

A bench of Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi passed the order, the petitioners’ counsel Rajeev Shrivastava told The Pioneer.

The petition was filed last month in the High Court.

As many as 70 persons, including several leaders of the Congress, and companies have been named in the FIR registered by the ACB/EOW in January in the alleged scam based on a complaint by the Enforcement Directorate.
