Palamu administration forbids use of DJ in Ramnavmi festival

Thursday, 11 April 2024 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

Palamu administration has forbidden DJ in the Ramnavmi festival.

At the peace committee meeting held today in Daltonganj the district election officer Palamu Shashi Ranjan said the administration can't allow DJ but he said the Ramnavmi festival organisers are free to use loud speakers.

Again the administration has asked for packing up of all Ramnavmi festivities latest by 11 at night but the practice and tradition here is that Ramnavmi festivities go night long and even go beyond 10 or 11 o clock next morning.

It is to be seen now as to how the administration will keep DJ off and all festivities over before midnight. The administration has set the toughest of the tasks in such a ceremony which is a mass festival.

There is a strong resentment among the members of the Ramnavmi  organising committees regarding keeping DJ off the show.

The organizers say they have booked DJs weeks ago and have spent considerable money for it and now it will not accompany the Ramnavmi procession. This is something that they are in no mood to yield to the order of the administration.

It looks like a kind of show down is staring at both the sides in regard to the use of the DJ.
