A six-member committee has been formed to probe the reason behind the fire at the storage facility of the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Co Ltd (CSPDCL) at Gudhiyari locality in Raipur on Friday.
CSPDCL General Manager P.K. Kashyap on Saturday told the committee members to find out the cause behind the incident and to submit a report within seven days.
The panel will also investigate the persons and agency responsible for the incident, financial losses, alternative arrangement to run the storage facility and suggestions for averting such incidents in future, the order said.
Transformers worth hundreds of crores of rupees reportedly got gutted in the fire but no casualties were reported.
