The foundation stone laying programme was launched for upgradation of 554 railway stations across the country worth about Rs 41000 crore and more than 1500 road over bridges/subway/low height under the India's Developed Rail 2047 scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The foundation stone/inauguration of the subway was done through video conferencing. On this occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav remained connected through video conferencing.
The foundation stone laying the for redevelopment of 14 stations of Ranchi Railway Division namely Namkom, Tatisilway, Gangaghat, Silli, Muri, Lohardaga, Balsering, Gobindpur Road, Bano, Orga, Jhalida, Tulin, Suisa and Ramgarh Cantt Railway Station under the Developed Rail 2047 scheme of India. And the foundation stone of 12 road over bridges/subways/low height subways on various railway sections was laid/inaugurated.
In the ceremony organized at 24 places of the division, MPs/MLAs/people's representatives of that area, persons honoured with Padma Award, members of the Regional Railway Consumer Advisory Committee and Divisional Railway Consumer Advisory Committee, various offices/departments of the Central Government and State Government were present. Representatives of various banks and institutions, school children and a large number of distinguished citizens and travellers participated.
In the grand ceremony organized at Namkom station of the division, Scheduled Tribe Scheduled Caste Backward Class Welfare and Transport Minister Jharkhand Deepak Biruwa, MP Ranchi Sanjay Seth, MP Rajya Sabha Mahua Maji, representatives of various institutions, school children and a large number were present. Distinguished citizens and travellers were present.
Divisional Railway Manager Jasmeet Singh Bindra welcomed all the guests and while giving welcome address highlighted the work plan.
On this occasion, the winners of drawing, essay, poetry and speech competitions organized in various schools were awarded by the honorable guests.
Similarly, in the ceremony organized at Lohardaga station, MP Lohardaga Sudarshan Bhagat, in the ceremony organized at the level crossing gate between Hatia and Balsering station, MLA Hatia Naveen Jaiswal and in the ceremony organized at Lodhama station, former Union Minister, honored with Padma Bhushan Kadiya Munda and public representatives of that area were present at other places.
