Police arrest a vehicle lifter, recover two bikes from him

Kolar Road police station arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered 2 stolen motorcycles and one scooter worth Rs 1.5 lakh were recovered.

Police said that based on the information a suspect was detained from near the Gehunkheda Canal culvert and when he was asked details he provided different information and tried to mislead.

On interrogation he revealed his name as Arun Malviya alias Luyi alias Mosquito(34) of Kolar and he was having vehicle bearing registration number MP04QP1977 and when it was checked on VDP  it was found to be stolen on March 14 in the evening from the parking lot of D Mart, Kolar Road and came to sell today.

Police have registered a case under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accused was arrested, taken into custody and interrogated in other crimes during which it was found that he also stole scooter  Activa bearing registration number MP04SP5509 and a motorbike Hero Passion Pro bearing registration number  MP04 QJ9712, which was stolen and were recovered.

When the accused was asked the reason for stealing the vehicle, he told that he steals to pay off the debt taken from people for intoxicating drugs. The accused was produced before court was sent under judicial custody.
