Police recover Rs 11 Lakh during checking drive

During the vehicle checking being done in connection with the Lok Sabha elections in the capital Ranchi, the police recovered cash worth Rs 11.45 lakh from Lalpur area. Police recovered this cash from a car during a checking drive.

The Income Tax Department was informed about the recovered cash, after which the Income Tax Department team is making inquiries regarding the recovered cash.

According to the police, the recovered money belonged to a businessman of Pandara Bazaar Committee. The businessman told the police that it was being collected from Khunti and brought to Ranchi. All the recovered money is from business and they have all the evidence related to it. The Income Tax Department team at Lalpur police station is investigating the cash.
