Prez, PM, Guv, CM wish people on Utkala Dibasa

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Governer Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wished the people of the State on the occasion of Utkala Dibasa on Monday.

 

“Warm greetings to people on Odisha Day! Odisha is known for its vast natural wealth and rich cultural heritage. The resilient people of this state have made great contribution in the development of Odisha and the country. Odisha has produced many icons over the centuries, including several makers of modern India. May Lord Jagannath bless the state and its people with greater success and prosperity!,” the President posted on ‘X’.

 

“Wishing everyone a very Happy Utkala Dibasa! This day reminds us of the rich culture and heritage of Odisha and its dynamic people. The state has made a rich contribution to national progress. I pray for the success and prosperity of the people of Odisha,” the PM wrote on ‘X’.

 

The Odisha Governer also took to ‘X’ and extended his greetings to the people of Odisha. He called upon everyone to be determined to make Odisha a prosperous and developed State.

 

“On this ‘Odisha Day’, let us strengthen our Asmita and Swaviman and move forward towards building ‘Developed Odisha’,” the CM posted on ‘X’ while wishing Odias on Utkala Dibasa.

 

Utkal Dibasa commemorates the formation of Odisha State on April 1, 1936 when it separated from the combined Bihar and Odisha Province during the British rule. The day holds immense importance for the people of Odisha as it symbolises their rich heritage, culture and identity.
