In response to the public meetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the Congress party has planned to hold meetings of Priyanka Gandhi in Garhwal and Haridwar Lok Sabha constituencies.
The Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress Mathura Dutt Joshi said that on April 13, Priyanka Gandhi will hold a public meeting in Ramnagar town of Nainital in support of party candidate from Garhwal Lok Sabha Ganesh Godiyal. He added that Gandhi will also address a public meeting in Roorkee, Haridwar on the day. In Haridwar, Virendra Rawat, the son of former chief minister Harish Rawat is contesting on Congress party ticket.
Joshi said that Gandhi will address a meeting at Government PG college ground in Ramnagar at 11.50 am. She will address people at DAV college ground in Roorkee at 3.00 pm on the day.
He said that the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has asked the party workers to prepare for the public meetings of Priyanka Gandhi. He said that thousands of party workers and supporters will attend the public meetings of Priyanka Gandhi.
