One-day training program of medical officers, CHOs and malaria technical supervisors of various hospitals of the district was organized on Tuesday in the auditorium of the Civil Surgeon Office at Garhwa Sadar Hospital premises. 

In the programme information was given on prevention, control and prevention of dengue and chikungunya. 

Civil surgeon Dr. Ashok Kumar was present as the chief guest in the program. While District Epidemiologist Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra and District BD Consultant Arvind Kumar Dwivedi were present as trainers.

 On the occasion, the Civil Surgeon said that there is a need to create awareness among people about dengue and chikungunya. The infection of mosquito-borne diseases increases during and after the monsoon. Therefore, no one should take fever lightly. Get it tested and treated. 

District BD Officer Dr. Pushpa Sehgal said that dengue and chikungunya are viral diseases, whose prevention and control is necessary. For this, work by making a plan. So that the diseases can be controlled as soon as possible. While make people aware to celebrate dry day one day in a week.  In which all the containers containing water should be washed and dried and then filled with water again. 

Trainer Arvind Kumar Dwivedi said that dengue/chikungunya is spread by the bite of infected female Aedes mosquito. This mosquito lays eggs in clean and stagnant water. He gave detailed information related to mosquito control. While trainer Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra gave detailed information about clinical management of dengue/chikungunya.
