In a move to accommodate the surge of devotees expected to visit the Ram Lalla temple on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, extended darshan hours till 11 pm have been announced.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai shared details of the arrangements aimed at ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims.

The festivities will commence at 3:30 am in the Brahma Muhurta with Mangala aarti, followed by abhishek, shringar, and darshan conducted simultaneously. Shringar aarti is scheduled for 5:00 am, after which devotees can partake in darshan and witness various worship rituals.

Brief intervals will be observed for offerings to the deity throughout the day. The darshan sequence will continue uninterrupted until 11 pm, followed by bhog and Shayan aarti, subject to prevailing circumstances.

Following the Shayan aarti, prasad will be distributed at the temple exit, marking the conclusion of the day’s festivities.

Visitors are reminded to securely store their mobile phones, footwear, bags and other prohibited items outside the temple premises.

During the period from April 16 to 19, passes for various darshan timings, including Sugam darshan, VIP darshan, Mangala aarti, Shringar aarti and Shayan aarti will not be issued.

To facilitate the pilgrims, a passenger service centre has been established by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra near the entrance, providing essential amenities.

Additionally, live telecasts of all temple events will be screened at multiple locations across the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation area, courtesy of Prasar Bharati.

Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairman Nripendra Mishra highlighted the significance of the upcoming Ram Navami, noting that technical arrangements are underway to capture the moment when sunlight falls on Ram Lalla’s forehead for approximately five minutes at 12:16. Scientists are diligently working to showcase this celestial occurrence.

Mishra also assured that the remaining construction work of the temple was slated for completion by December 2024.
