Ranchi MP opposes administrative action under the guise of MCC

Wednesday, 10 April 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Ranchi MP and BJP candidate Sanjay Seth today said that the district administration should stop harassing the common people under the guise of Lok Sabha elections and code of conduct. The action being taken by the district administration under the guise of code of conduct is a completely malicious action. The action is being taken under pressure from the state government. The district administration should avoid acting as an agent of the state government.

Seth said that flags installed on private houses, slogans and posters written on the walls of private houses, all this is being forcefully removed by the district administration. Threats of lawsuit are being made, which is absolutely wrong. The district administration should follow the election code of conduct impartially, I have no problem with it, but harassing the general public in this way is absolutely wrong and unethical.

Seth clearly said that the administration has no right to remove flags from private houses, posters or slogans from the walls of private houses. If any person complains, if any citizen complains, the district administration should take action, it is welcome.

The administration should remember that if such action is taken under the guise of code of conduct and under pressure from the state government, it will be opposed.

Seth said that there are reports of the administration harassing businessmen under the guise of code of conduct. The administration should make its employees understand that the business class also works for the purpose of doing business. In such a situation, harassing the businessmen in this way will affect the business of the market. Ranchi city will be affected. Seth said that if the district administration does not improve its functioning then he will complain to the Election Commission.
