RBI, Ranchi launches innovative programme for financial awareness

At present, as another link in its series of innovative programs aimed at creating widespread public awareness, the Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi organised ‘Gyan-Baan’ program on March 27, 2024 with the aim of making students aware through archery.

Prem Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director, who conceptualized and successfully guided the program in his address said that ‘Financial Inclusion and Financial Education’ are two important developmental objectives of the Reserve Bank of India. To fulfill these objectives, this year, especially school children as the target group of Financial Literacy Week organized between 26 February 2024 and 01 March 2024.

Every program conducted with novelty is a center of special attraction for young adults. That is why the idea came that 'archery', which has been prevalent in our glorious tradition for thousands of years and in modern times, has raised the name of the Reserve Bank of India and the country at the international level, with the help of inspirational archers like Komalika Bari, Officer in Ranchi Regional Office. This unique awareness campaign should be realized with close cooperation. In order to convey the awareness messages to the student group in an interesting manner, the different targets were named as ignorance, greed, indiscretion, fear and haste, because often the incidents of financial, digital or cyber frauds are tried to take advantage of these weaknesses and carelessness. Do it. Famous archer Komalika Bari said that overcoming these weaknesses is equally important for good archery.

Ajay Michiyari, Regional Director (R) as the special guest, highly appreciated the various innovative efforts made by the Reserve Bank of India, especially the Ranchi Office, in the last few months regarding financial literacy and awareness and praised the 'Financial And made special mention of the state level competition organized on 'Cyber Fraud and its Prevention', in which about one and a half thousand students participated enthusiastically.

On this occasion, a play 'Seva Ka Mantra' focused on financial inclusion, literacy and education was also staged. About 150 students from various government and private schools from different districts of the state like Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh thoroughly enjoyed the program and became aware of various financial related information. This very successful program concluded with prize distribution and vote of thanks among the children who performed well in archery.
