Rs 5 lakh confiscated during vehicle checking drive in Grhwa

Following the model code of conduct, the magistrate and police officer appointed last night at the check post set up at Bilaspur village on the Jharkhand-Uttar Pradesh border have achieved a major success. During the vehicle checking campaign, Rs 5 lakh has been recovered from two vehicles. After the information of recovery of such a huge amount, SDO Prabhakar Mirdha, SDPO Satyendra Narayan Singh, Vishunpura CO cum Flying Squad Team in-charge Sandeep Madheshia and Banshidhar Nagar Police Station in-charge Aditya Kumar Nayak went to the check post and investigated the matter.

In respect of cash proper documents  were not provided, the cash was seized from both the vehicles and the Chairman of Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell, DDC Garhwa was informed for further action. 

Flying Squad Madheshia said that if valid documents related to the cash amount are not provided within a week, an FIR will be lodged. Vishunpura CO cum Flying Squad Sandeep Madheshia said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, regular vehicle checking is being done at the check post on the border of neighboring states.  During checking, 5 lakh rupees were recovered from two vehicles last night at Vilaspur check post. He said that in the presence of Magistrate Jitendra Kumar and a police team posted at the check post, 4 lakh rupees were recovered from Krishna Gupta's Thar vehicle and 1 lakh rupees were recovered from Manjeet Kumar Chaudhary's Nishan car vehicle.
