Talk to Your CEO: Punjab CEO to go live on Facebook on Apr 19

Saturday, 20 April 2024 | PNS | Chandigarh

Set to conduct a live session on Facebook from 11 am to 11:30 am on Friday (April 19), Punjab’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sibin C on Thursday called upon all electors to join the interactive session and be a part of shaping the future of democracy in Punjab. The unique initiative, titled ‘Talk to Your CEO Punjab’, aimed at addressing questions and concerns from voters regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024.

Sibin C emphasized the importance of voter engagement in achieving the ‘Is Vaar 70 Paar’ goal — to register the voter turnout of above 70 per cent. To further this objective and enhance voter awareness, the Office of Punjab CEO has also launched a regular podcast series that delves into crucial topics such as voter registration, voting process, and significance of citizen participation in elections.

He said that various programs are being run to achieve the goal of ‘Is Vaar 70 Paar’, and to make people aware about voting.

“I will go live on the official page @TheCeoPunjab on Facebook and answer the queries of the people related to the Lok Sabha Elections from 11 am to 11:30 pm on Friday. During this half-an-hour live session, one can ask queries and also give their grievances and suggestions by commenting on the post. Questions or suggestions can be asked during the live session or can be sent via Facebook, Instagram, or X before 11 am,” he said.

The CEO added that the purpose of this ‘live session’ is to allay people’s apprehensions about the elections and motivate them to actively participate in the voting process. Sibin C said that his office is constantly updating the instructions and details related to the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on social media handles — Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube. Recently, the Punjab CEO officer has secured the second position across the country for playing an active role on social media platforms.
