Addressing the intelligentsia at a ‘Prabuddha Varg Sammelan’ in Hathras on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath rebuked the opposition, asserting that those criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi were impeding India’s progress.

In his impassioned speech, Yogi emphasised the need to surmount obstacles hindering the realisation of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He underscored Modi’s commitment to inclusive development, stressing the importance of every individual receiving equal opportunities and respect, regardless of caste or community.

The chief minister urged the public to rally behind Anup Valmiki ‘Pradhan’, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Hathras, highlighting the pivotal role of the constituency as the gateway to the Braj division.

Expounding on the theme of self-reliance, Yogi hailed the ancestral heritage of Hathras and neighbouring regions, lauding their historic contributions to craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.

He cited examples from Moradabad’s brass work to asafoetida production in Hathras, underscoring the significance of indigenous skills in fostering economic autonomy.

Turning his attention to intellectuals, Yogi called upon them to actively engage in the electoral process and help secure victory for the National Democratic Alliance in Uttar Pradesh.

He credited intellectuals with shaping public opinion and lauded India’s transformation under the leadership of Modi, highlighting improvements in security, prosperity and social welfare.

Yogi said the upcoming elections were a choice between ‘family first’ versus ‘nation first’, and advocated governance free from appeasement politics and focused on national interest. He praised incumbent MP Rajveer Singh Diler for his dedication and urged supporters to back Anup Valmiki’s candidature wholeheartedly.

Expressing confidence in the BJP’s governance record, Yogi reassured voters of continued security, development and equitable distribution of welfare schemes. He celebrated landmark initiatives, including the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, as emblematic of the government’s commitment to fulfilling long-standing aspirations.

The event saw the presence of prominent BJP leaders and local dignitaries, underscoring the party’s concerted efforts to mobilise support ahead of the upcoming elections.

Yogi urged party workers to engage with voters at the grassroots level and ensure a strong turnout in favour of NDA candidates, pledging to uphold the principles of good governance and inclusive development.

The chief minister’s impassioned address resonated with attendees, underscoring the resolve of the party to secure a decisive mandate and advance the agenda of progress and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
