Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Friday asked the AAP leaders to "understand the judicial system before hastily commenting on judicial decisions" over the stay on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's bail by the High Court.
Sachdeva stated, "After a prolonged debate on the Enforcement Directorate's petition challenging the bail granted to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the High Court, his bail has been stayed for two to three days. Consequently, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will have to wait longer to get out of jail."
He called the comments by the AAP leaders 'absurd' and said that such rhetoric and excuses are old habits of the AAP. "Their leaders excel in spreading confusion, but there is one fact that is clear to all of us, the order of the Delhi High Court is still in operation, which found that the arrest of the Chief Minister was legally correct and that he had a personal role in receiving crores of rupees in kickbacks in the liquor policy," the Delhi BJP chief stated
"It is an old habit of the AAP to claim "Satyamev Jayate" (truth alone triumphs) when orders are in their favor, but to question the same judicial system when orders are not in their favor," he alleged hitting at the AAP leaders and adding that the country's judiciary is independent and works in an unbiased manner based on facts.
