Voting booths to be operated by women

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that, about 3500 polling stations will be operated entirely by women personnel for Lok Sabha elections 2024. The entire polling team deployed at these polling stations will consist of women officers/employees. Similarly, about 250 polling stations will be operated by differently abled personnel. The entire polling team at these stations will consist of differently abled officers/employees.

Rajan said that about 5 lakh 20 thousand officers/employees will be deployed for election duty in the form of polling personnel, center officers and police personnel. On the day of voting, concerned BLOs will also be present in each polling station. They will also have a voter list in alphabetical order, so that any voter can know on the spot at which his name is in the voter list.

Rajan also informed that the microsite https://elections24.eci.gov.in/ has been prepared by the Election Commission of India on which any kind of updated information related to Lok Sabha Elections 2024 can be obtained.
