IIM Ranchi inaugurates executive MBA winter batch 2025-27

The prestigious Executive MBA program at Indian Institute of IIM Ranchi commenced its Winter Batch 2025-27 with a grand inaugural ceremony, marked by insightful speeches, experience sharing, and an air of excitement for the journey ahead. The event began with Prof. Rajeev Verma, Chairperson of Executive MBA program at IIM Ranchi, welcoming the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Ranchi; the Guest of Honor, Mr. Jasbir Singh, President of HR and Cluster HR Head for North and Renukoot Cluster at Hindalco; Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, The Director of IIM Ranchi, Prof. Tanusree Dutta, Dean of Academics at IIM Ranchi; and Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean of Executive Education & Consultancy at IIM Ranchi. The dignitaries then graced the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony to mark the occasion.

The Executive MBA Winter Batch 2025-27 comprises professionals from diverse backgrounds, including software and mechanical engineers, managers, bankers, entrepreneurs, and operations specialists. During their personal introductions, students expressed their aspirations to enhance their managerial knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills to contribute meaningfully to their organizations and society. Alumni from previous batches shared their experiences, highlighting the program’s transformative impact. Mr. Nitesh Kumar, Senior Manager - Defence Operations at Tata Motors (Summer Batch 2022-24), spoke about how collaborative learning and classroom discussions helped bridge leadership gaps. Mr. Vikas, Head of Capex Management at ESL-Vedanta (Summer Batch 2023-25), emphasized the program's multidisciplinary insights and its relevance in managing organizational challenges. Mr. Kumar Siddhanth, Senior Manager at RDCIS, SAIL (Winter Batch 2024-26), reflected on the accommodating nature of professors and the program's ability to foster diverse perspectives.

Following the student interaction, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava welcomed the new batch, underscoring the program's focus on fostering critical thinking through models and frameworks, problem-solving, and extensive research. Highlighting recent academic innovations, such as hybrid learning modules, the Director encouraged students to integrate diverse perspectives and adapt to the evolving demands of the professional world.

Mr. Jasbir Singh highlighted the program's holistic approach to learning and networking, praising its ability to bring together insights from across industries and geographies. He emphasized the value of diverse lessons and the knowledge imparted by the esteemed faculty. Shri Nilendu Kumar Singh delivered an inspiring speech, drawing parallels between life and leadership lessons from epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana. He encouraged students to approach learning beyond academics, embrace experiences, and apply those lessons to workplaces and daily life. He also stressed the importance of achieving success that benefits not only oneself but society as a whole.

The event concluded with the felicitation of the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor. Prof. Rajeev Verma expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for making the event a grand success and wished the new batch a meaningful and impactful journey ahead.
