122 officers under training at Administration Academy, visit IGRMS

A team of 122 officers of Joint Basic Training Program (Capacity Building) for State Service Officers conducted an educational visit to Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. At the beginning of the program, Museum Director Prof Amitabh Pandey while welcoming all the officials said that the Open Air Exhibitions and Indoor Exhibitions of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya presentations complement each other.

The purpose of these exhibitions is to present the strong lifestyles, culture and socio-economic philosophy of life of the Indian communities living in different climatic zones. It also explains the relationship between people and places, objects and their cultural values in the historical past and contemporary times, in the context of a proper anthropological explanation. It presents a wonderful collection of vibrant sized traditional housing types of indigenous castes and folk communities of India.

Museum's anthropologists Shrikant Gupta and Mohammad Rehan, Ranjit Singh and Dr. Mohan Goyal told all the officials in detail about the exhibitions, while visiting the exhibition, everyone got to know in detail about the rural culture.
