Senior leaders of SP, BSP and Congress join BJP in UP

In a significant political development, senior leaders of Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party’s state headquarters here in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Saturday.

Among those who joined the BJP were former Members of Parliament and prominent leaders from various parties, including former MPs Veer Singh from BSP (Moradabad), Santosh Kumar Katai from Congress (Azamgarh), Premdas Katheria from SP (Etawah), and former legislators Dr KC Pandey from SP (Gorakhpur), Sadhna Mishra from SP (Bareilly), Gajendra Singh from Anupshahr,  Aditya Pandey from BSP (Fatehpur), Ramesh Kumar Kushwaha from SP (Lalitpur) and Vasudev Singh Baba from BSP (Bulandshahr).

Ajay Naresh Yadav, son of late former chief minister Ram Naresh Yadav also joined the BJP.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak welcomed all the new members into the BJP family, saying that their inclusion would strengthen the party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

He urged them to work diligently for the welfare of their respective regions and booths, emphasising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India.

Pathak outlined the goal of increasing BJP’s presence in every booth by 370 votes compared to the previous elections, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s target of winning over 400 seats nationwide.

He called upon everyone to contribute to BJP’s victory in all 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
