The Bagh print artist Mohammad Khatri was felicitated with international award ‘Fashion Designer Creation Award 2017’ at Thailand. He was awarded for his fantastic designs of Bagh Print.

Interestingly, Mohammad Khatri from Dhar is the first Indian to be felicitated with Fashion Designer Creation Award. The award ceremony in Thailand was organised by Small and medium enterprise development organization in association with Industrial promotion department, Ministry of Industry Thailand.

Besides, the event was held at Thailand Industry Expo wherein Khatri showcased his designs. A grand fashion show of Khatri’s Bagh print designs was also held during the programme which was really appreciated by the audience.

The designs gave thrills to the Thailand’s fashion freaks on Saturday. The designs by Khatri were wondrously beautiful and eye catching designs. The designer carved out his imagination over Cotton and Jeans dress materials. He festooned the prints of State i.e. Bagh print with colourful imaginary power that gave another terrific look to these dress materials. This was the absolute delight for the city fashion freaks.

Another interesting fact of his designs was that it was only men’s wear.

Mohammad Khatri created beautiful motifs of Bagh print over the cloth giving each design an enchanting look. Mohammad Khatri prepared the designs with hand-print thappa technique. The designs and dress materials were adorned with natural cloth colours like the fruit extracts, iron black colour and even more.

While talking to The Pioneer, Khatri said, “I am really contended to receive this award and really happy that people in Thailand liked my work.”
