BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the State on September 24 to attend the party’s Mahila Morcha Rashtriya Maha Adhiveshan in Puri, informed BJP State Mahila Morcha president Pravati Parida on Tuesday.
The programme of the women’s wing of the BJP will be held in Puri from September 23 to 25. On September 23, in the Rashtriya Mahila Morcha functionaries meeting, women Central Ministers, MPs and State unit Mahila Morcha presidents and general secretaries are scheduled to attend.
The Mahila Mahasavesh on September 24 would be addressed by Shah and national Mahila Morcha president Bijaya Rahatkar, said Parida.
She said atrocities against women are increasing in Odisha. Women are no more feeling safe. Due to opening of liquor shops in the villages, domestic violence, and dowry deaths are reported daily but the State Government is remaining a silent spectator. In the coming days, women of the State would voluntarily throw out the anti-women BJD Government, she added.
Last time, Shah had visited the State on July 1 to review the progress made by the State unit of the party to achieve his ‘Mission 120+’ in the 2019 Assembly elections. Shah had told party men to concentrate on strengthening the booths by reaching out to people and explain the achievements of the Narendra Modi Government and the failures of the Naveen Patnaik regime.
