V Anuradha Singh, a noted Kathak exponent of the city, will give a solo performance at Pune festival. She will be performing on Tuesday at Pune.
To be held at Baal Gandharv Rang Mandir Auditorium Pune, this grand festival organised by Pune Festival committee and Department of Tourism, Maharashtra Government.
Later on Thursday, she will be performaning on the Foundation Day celebration of Man Singh Tomar Music and Arts University in Gwalior organised by Deptartment of Culture Madhya Pradesh Government. Hailing from Bhopal, Anuradha is noted Kathak dancer for her innovation and improvisation in traditional Kathak technique.
Rhythmic understanding, ability to extemporize with speedy rhythms and preserving pure Kathak classical style are some of her qualities. Experimenting with classical Sufi Kathak, she has evolved a refined, sophisticated style in pure classical form, based on fast speeds, swift turns, mind thrilling footwork, delicacy of movements and impressive expressions.
Anuradha is one of the well known dancers of solo classical Kathak dance.
With enchanting stage presence she has earned acclamation for intense and sensitive dance presentations.
