Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists continued to stage hartal at Executive Engineer and SDO offices across the State for third day on Wednesday, demanding jobs for unemployed youths and stopping of PC (percentage) taking practice.
“The State Government has been promoting corruption and PC taking practices. Failing to get jobs, Odisha youths are going outside to earn living. Public works worth up to Rs 5 lakh are being distributed among BJD workers without tenders. Ruling party MLAs are distributing tenders to own people though Ama Gaon Ama Bikash programme,” alleged BJYM State president Tankadhar Tripathy.
The hartal began on December 10 would continue till December 20. The hartal has been staged in districts like Sundargarh, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur and Koraput so far.
He said ‘Rojgar Paramarsha Padyatra’ would be held in all 147 Assembly constituencies on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
