Bus crushes man to death, driver held

A man was crushed to death after he came under a Uttar Pradesh roadways bus near Kashmiri Gate on Sunday. The driver was held on the spot.

“The deceased is identified as Naresh Kumar, is a resident of Meerut and was living with his relative in Kamla Nagar Delhi for past few months.

The incident occurred at Nityanand Marg near Kashmiri Gate when Naresh was hopping off from the bus when the driver identified as Sunil Kumar suddenly accelerated the bus. Naresh lost his control and fell.

He came under the bus and got injured,” said the senior police official.

“Naresh was immediately rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. We have registered a case and have arrested the driver,” said the senior police official.
