C’garh sets huge target for wheat crop sowing

Against the targetted area of 190,000 hectares, sowing of wheat crop has been completed in 55.57000 hectares in Chhattisgarh, officials of State Government's Directorate of Agriculture informed on Wednesday.

Likewise, against the proposed area of 97.12000 hectares, sowing of corn has been completed in 15.51000  hectares, and paddy sowing work has been completed in 0.05000 hectares against the proposed area of 55.57000 hectares. Barley and other crops have been sown in 4.20000 hectares against proposed area of 5.56000 hectares. In this way, sowing of food crops has been completed in 70.13000 hectares, against the proposed area of 348.25000 hectares. Chickpeas crop has been sown in 115.41000 hectares against the proposed area of 426.75000 hectares, peas has been sown in 21.23000 hectares against proposed area of 58.07000 hectares, lentils have been sown in 11.54000 hectares against the proposed area of 31.25000 hectares, moong has been sown in 6.93000 hectares against proposed area of 33.82000 hectares, urad has been sown in 5.13000 hectares against the proposed area of 23.28000 hectares, tiwra has been sown in 230.36000 hectares against the proposed area of 323.28000 hectares, kulthi has been sown in 14.43000 hectares against the proposed area of 26.74000 hectares, and other lentils crops have been sown in 0.50000 hectares out of the proposed area of 0.80000 hectares. In this way, total area in which lentils crops have been sown in 405.53000 hectares against the proposed area of 923.99000 hectares.

Sowing work of flaxseed crop has been completed in 25.11000 hectares against the proposed area of 60.21000 hectares, mustard and toriya have been sown in 101.57000 hectares against the proposed area of 176.49000 hectares, til has been sown in 0.33000 hectares against the proposed area of 3.58000 hectares, sunflowers have been sown in 0.43000 hectares against the proposed area of 12.24000 hectares, kusum has been sown in 2.07000 hectares against the proposed area of 7.46000 hectares, peanuts have been sown in 4.98000 hectares against the proposed area of 34.42000 hectares, and other oilseeds have been sown in 0.44000 hectares of proposed 1.88000 hectares. In this way, oilseed crops have been sown in total 134.93000 hectares against 296.28000 hectares, sugarcane has been cultivated in 11.68000 hectares in the proposed area of 49.28000 hectares, vegetables in 87.46000 hectares against proposed area of 212.2000 hectares. In this way sowing work of rabi crops has been completed in 709.73000 hectares against the proposed area of 1.830000 hectares, which is 39% of the target.
