Cultural events organised at Handloom Expo

Various cultural events are being organized at the National Handloom Expo 2018, Bhopal haat. Under the series of cultural events the visitors enjoyed the ghazal evening here on Wednesday.

Bhopal haat always bring something new for the citizens and this time people got the opportunity to buy handloom materials of different States of the country under one roof. The buyers are being captivated towards the beautifully crafted handicraft stuff. Especially, the batik and bagh print suits, jute materials and Kashmiri Pashmina shawls and stoles.

Further, shopping became more pleasing with different cultural programmes at the haat. A huge crowd is observed before the stage to watch and enjoy the ghazal evening presented by Creative Musical Group, Bhopal.

Ghazals have soothing rhythm, create a light mood and made the shoppers forget the worries. So, around 25 ghazals were presented at the show. 

The programme began with a bhajan and the audiences were rapt in its devoting melody. Further, the show was followed up by one of the most famous ghazals of Jagjit Singh and Chitra ‘Yeh daulat bhi lelo’ made the audiences relive the old memories.

They further presented the ghazals like ‘Aapki aankho me kuch’, ‘Tujhse naraz nahi’, ‘Aap jinke qareeb’ and ‘Jab anchal raat.’ Besides, ghazals of Lata Mageshkar, Pankaj Udhas, Chitra and Jagjit Singh enthralled the audiences.

The ghazal night made shopping even more enjoyable for the Bhopalites. It is noteworthy that the National Handloom Expo is organized every year for the shopaholics of the city and evokes really good response.
