Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities, Draupadi Murmu today stressed on the need of all round development of students studying in colleges. While addressing students who performed well in graduation of the previous session of Ranchi, Kolhan and Birsa Agriculture university at Raj Bhavan on Monday, she said asked officials to upgrade library and laboratory.

During the programme the Governor asked all the universities to pay attention to English in today's competitive age. Along with this, she asked the students to give a lot of effort for personality development and skillful communication skills. She also instructed officials to ensure that the training of martial arts in the colleges and universities is made available and asked for the health check up of all the students.

The Governor said that in all educational institutes, the students will get decent and good education.  She said that efforts are on to provide better academic environment and regularization of sessions in all universities. Efforts are also being made to overcome the shortage of teachers in the State, the bell-based guest teachers have been appointed.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of Ranchi, Kolhan and Birsa Agriculture Universities were present alongwith the  Principal Secretary of the Governor Satendra Singh.

The Governor said that students receiving excellence in any exam conducted by any University are inspiration for other students.

They are considered exemplary. She said that their suggestions on how well these students are successful in achieving excellence, what are the good in the university and what is needed to improve will serve as a good guide in the interest of the university. On this occasion, the Governor invited the opinion of all the students which need further improvement in the university in the university.

The students gave their suggestions on filling up posts of teachers, development of libraries and laboratories, better communication between student-learner, debate and seminars need to be organised frequently, more emphasis is on the theory class among others.

On this occasion, the Principal Secretary of the Governor, Satendra Singh said that India was Global leader in ancient times. Here were the famous educational institutions like Nalanda, Takshshila and Vikramshala. He said that all have an effort in the view of the re-establishment and the youth of India has the potential. He said that the Governor is continuously trying to improve the higher education from the beginning.
