Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday said that the present State Government has, during its four years tenure served the people with the vision of ‘Sabka Satha-Sabka Vikas’ and  emphasised on fulfilling  all basic necessities.

“Now, in the fifth year, the government has been making the people aware about these achievements through ‘Swachhta Avm Sadbhavna Pad Yatras’ being organised on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi so that every needy person in the state would get benefitted,” the Chief Minister said while addressing a gathering at Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra Chowk in his constituency Karnal.

Earlier, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra and started the ‘Padyatra’ from there.

While referring to the achievements of the State Government, he said that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, housing facility would be provided to all by 2022.

About 3.5 lakh such families have been identified in Haryana and their process has been completed, he said.

Affordable houses are being constructed at various places in the state. Apart from this, Haryana Housing Board would construct 7,000 houses and Urban Local Bodies Department would construct 15,000 houses, Manohar Lal said.

He further said that Ayushmaan Bharat Yojana has been implemented for providing free treatment facility up to Rs five lakh to poor families. The scheme has been started from Haryana and this would benefit 14.5 lakh families. The Chief Minister also said that free of cost gas connections are being provided to poor families and the State Government has also provided relief to people in power tariff.

The State Government has no dearth of funds for public welfare projects. The difference is only of will and policy. The earlier government also had all resources, but it had not taken concrete steps to uplift of people, he added.

Manohar Lal also said that these ‘Padyatras’ are being organised under the leadership of MLAs of concerned constituencies. After completing Padyatras in rural areas under the first phase, now such yatras are being organised in urban areas under the second phase, he added.
