Leaders’ retreat concludes

National HRD Network, Ranchi Chapter in association with SAIL Management Training Institute (MTI) and with support from Indian Institute Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) successfully organized a Leaders’ Retreat “Ananda@MyChoice” at Netarhat. This was designed by IIT Kanpur. The programme was a confluence of Science and Spirituality in the bounty of Nature at Netarhat. As many as   16 corporate leaders (from 9 different organisations namely SAIL, MECON, Tata Steel, NALCO, NMDC, PVUNL, BPSCL, NSPCL and Paul Wurth) along with their spouse participated in the event. The event was facilitated by five expert faculties in the domain of Happiness. They are Dr Saamdu Chetri, Former Head of Gross National Happiness Centre of Bhutan and the present advisor of Centre of the Science of Happiness at IIT Kharagpur, Kamakshi Raman, ED (HRD), SAIL, Sandip Das, Jitendra Nath Hembram Sr. Faculty MTI and Nitesh Batra, Producer of the Award Winning Feature Film ‘Rainbow Fields’ and Founder of ‘The Mindful Initiatives’.

GoM for legal framework on sexual harassment

Minister of State, Department of Women and Child Development Virendra Kumar replied to a question asked by Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Mahesh Poddar on Thursday that the Government of India through its order on October 24th, 2018 has constituted Group of Minister (GoM) to examine and give recommendations for strengthening the legal and institutional frameworks to deal with and prevent sexual harassment at workplace. The composition of group of Minister is as under Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Shipping,Nitin Gadkari, Defense Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi.

Hindi workshop at DVC

A special workshop on Hindi was organized today at Damodar Valley Corporation's Hazaribagh project. This workshop was organized for the Official Language Nodal Officers of various offices. The chief guest of the workshop, Sanjay Kumar, Director (LRD) and Project Head and Chairman, Rabha Sub-Committee and Special Guest, Dr. IK Sinhan, Medical In-charge, Daghani Hospital and Sanjay Kumar Singh, Manager (Finance), Accounts Office, Daghani, Hazaribagh were present on the occasion. Chief Guest Sanjay Kumar appreciated the role of the Official Language of Nodal Officers, said that the Official Language Nodal Officer is the most responsible for the implementation of official language. They work as bridge between the Dept of Official Language and their office. From time to time, reviewers report, details of official work, writing work in original Hindi etc. are done by Nodal Officer.

Nissan launches ‘Happy with Nissan’

Nissan has launched the 10th edition of ‘Happy with Nissan’ service camp for its customers. The week-long service camp will be held between Dec 14 to 24 across all Nissan and Datsun dealerships across the country. After successfully running this initiative for nine editions, Nissan will be providing customers with a 60-point free vehicle check-up, free top wash, attractive discounts on accessories, up to 20% discount on labour charges, apart from assured gifts.   The one-week service camp will also provide customer-focused communications about the benefits of authorized Nissan and Datsun service centers and the use of Nissan genuine spare parts, oils and accessories. 

Healthcare crowdfunding

In May 2018, ImpactGuru.com, a fintech company, one of the prominent healthcare crowdfunding platform announced a $2mm Series A round co-led by Apollo Hospitals Group and Venture Catalysts, India’s first integrated incubator. Joining this Series A Round today is Shorooq Investments, Silicon Valley style venture capital firm based in Abu Dhabi and several angel investors from the GCC region. Healthcare crowdfunding is an alternative method of raising funds online for out of pocket medical expenses (which are not reimbursed by insurance), with the patient or his/her friends or family primarily relying on social media networks and email to mobilise donors to finance the relevant medical bills.
