PSEB engineer’s assotiation meet held
Patiala: About 1,200 delegates from across Punjab, comprising of Assistance Engineers to Engineer-in-Chief participated in the general body meeting of PSEB Engineers’ Association on Thursday, wherein the state Health Minister Brahm Mohindra was the chief guest, and the state Animal Husbandry Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu was the guest of honour.
UHBVN to redress consumers’ grievances
Panchkula: Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam’s Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum’s (CGRF) members will make extensive visits in December for hearing grievances of the consumers and to entertain new complaints. Spokesperson on Thursday said that the Forum’s proceedings will be held in Yamunanagar on December 4, BBMB Rest House Panipat on December 5, Panchkula on December 7, Rohtak on December 10, Kurukshetra on December 12, Karnal on December 14, Sonipat on December 17, Ambala on December 19, Panipat on December 21, Kaithal on December 24 and Jhajjar on December 28 respectively.
Punjab launches ODF sustainability app
Chandigarh: Punjab’s Water Supply and Sanitation Department, under Mission Swachh and Tandarust Punjab, has launched an android based ODF (open defecation free) sustainability mobile application named ‘Swachh Punjab’, which is a citizen-centric bilingual app involving citizens to take lead in maintaining cleanliness in their villages. The app, which can be downloaded from Google playstore, works in English and Punjabi languages.
PDDD to organise seminars at Agrotech
Chandigarh: In the Agrotech-2018 starting in Chandigarh from December 1, Punjab Dairy Development Department will organize seminars on the theme of modern dairy farming. The state Dairy Development director Inderjit Singh on Thursday said that seminar on the theme of marketing and scientific dairy farming will be held on December 1.
