The occasion of Govardhan Puja was commemorated with fervour at one of Kumaon’s biggest cow shelters-Hare Krishna Ashram- Parma in Halduchaud on Thursday.
A large number of devotees who had congregated here on the occasion, sang Bhajans and also participated in Govardhan Puja. They also committed themselves to serving the bovines.
The Ashram manager Rameshwar Das, members of the religious fraternity, local residents and a large number of devotees were also present on the occasion.
