Rawat announces Rs 5 crore for Kerala

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed his deep sympathies on the loss of life and property due to heavy rains and resultant floods in Kerala.

To provide relief to the flood affected people of Kerala, the Chief Minister has instructed to send a sum of Rs 5 crore as relief from Uttarkhand Government to Kerala Chief Minister’s disaster relief fund.

He also announced to donate his one month’s salary towards flood relief in Kerala. Along with him, Uttarakhand Ministers and all the BJP MlA's will also donate their one month salary towards flood relief in Kerala.

The Chief Minister also expected from the voluntary and social organisations in the state to help the flood affected people of Kerala. He further said that the people of Uttarakhand are well aware of the problems faced due to natural calamities and can relate to the sufferings of people of the flood-affected southern State. He said that the people of Uttarakhand stand with their brethren in Kerala in this hour of need.
