Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya organised a street play, film exhibition, quiz and special cleaning active along with the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Bhopal, at its Veethi Sankul premises.
First a street play was organized on the Swachhta Abhiyan and Paryatan Parv under which a play was organized to create awareness towards sanitation.
Thereafter, the IGRMS organised a marathon walk under the 2nd Swachhta Phawada-2018 from 4 pm onwards.
The walk commenced from Aavritti bhawan area of museum and continued till Boat Club; during the walk participating employees and officers spread messages of cleanliness through slogans. Everyone collected the garbage spread on the route and disposed it properly. The tourists present at the Boat Club appreciated Sangrahalaya’s initiative.
On this occasion, Deepak Kumar Chaudhari, Programme Coordinator Explaining to the Handcart sellers, said, “In the garbage plastic, glass, metals, paper etc is such garbage that can be recycled. The remaining lot of garbage is biomass, which we can make manure by pressing in a pit for the garden. Such waste that can be a recycler, he can be collected separately in a box and given to the Kabaadi (scrap dealer). Without government help, we can keep our area clean by mutual cooperation. Just need some kind of effort and awareness.”
