Was a mask for Cong as working president: Uike

Monday, 15 October 2018 | Staff Reporter | Raipur

Never included in any decision making of party

As working president, the Congress has converted me as a mask. There has been no role left in which one can play a key role. Before the media, it was being reflected that all due respect is being accorded,” said BJP leader and former Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee working president Ramdayal Uike while addressing the media on Sunday.

Uike said, “I was never included in any decision making of party. Even in distribution of the party ticket to the candidates, no information was being provided as they did not show any confidence nor had any faith in me.”

“I was always being asked and even forced to give statements which were against my character. Bhupesh Baghel, Charandas Mahant, Jai Singh Agrawal among others led the pack which was causing mental agony,” he adds.

On Arvind Netam, former union minister, Uike said even though he has been taken in Core Committee of party, just to showcase it. But Netam should also remember it is the same Congress which threw him out. Bhanwar Singh Porte was also expelled. “Fed up after continuous harassment, I was forced to quit the Congress,” he adds.

“Now my target is to work with dedication under leadership of Chief Minister Raman Singh to help him to form BJP government. The four seats of Korba district would be taken by BJP, the work would be done on that basis,” he pointed out over a query.  He said that it is like home coming and is feeling too emotional.

On CPCC president Bhupesh Baghel, he said that he had brought shame to women of state by involving in the sleaze CD case. Lack of sensitivity and leadership has been his weaknesses.

He said the issue of termination of membership of Bhupesh was also raised with national leadership but nothing happened.

He points out that CPCC president do not know how to respect others and is against caste and tribal community. He should seek apology for terming me as ‘Unlucky’.

Commenting on Chhattisgarh incharge P L Punia’s statement, he said that he feels insulted including the tribal community of state that with respect BJP could have given ‘something’ other.

Raising question o Punia, he said Punia should clear what was his indication of ‘something’. What does he understand about the tribal in state. Punia is controlling the things as if he is still collector of a district and the tribal are considered as naive public.
