Water supplies would be affected in parts of national Capital on Monday and Tuesday as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will do the maintenance of its pipeline. The areas where supply would be affected are Darya Ganj, LNJP Hospital, National Zoological Park, Pragati Maidan Kaka Nagar, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, Nizammudin and adjoining areas.
The DJB in a statement said that due to interconnection work for shifting of 900 mm diameter pipelines at Hanuman Mandir to Samta Sthal, Ring Road, Bhairon Marg, National Zoological Park to Oberoi Flyover and Mathura Road the supply will not be available or available at low pressure on Monday and Tuesday.
The board has advised residents to store sufficient quantity of water in advance as per their requirement in order to avoid any inconvenience.
It informed that water tankers would be made available on request on the telephone numbers 1916, 23527679, 23513073, 1800117118 (Central Control Room), 22370911, 23378761 (IP Pumping Station), 23810930 (Chandrawal Water Emergency), 29819035 (Jal Sadan).
