The Election Commission on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to Union Minister Babul Supriyo for putting out a campaign song, composed and sung by him, without prior permission and against which TMC has submitted a complaint. The music-video was posted in social media and some local TV news channels aired it without certification from the EC. "The singer-turned-politician, who is an MP from Asansol, has been asked to reply within 48 hours of receiving the notice," the EC said.
