In the weekly series 'Abhinayan' of plays at Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum,  'Shiva Vivah' in the Gudau Nach Loknatya style was staged.

The play was staged on Friday under the direction of Prabhu Kumar Gond (Bihar).

The play began with King Himalaya, who is very concerned about the marriage of his daughter Parvati. But Goddess Parvati is willing to marry Lord Shiva and all the gods are also of the same opinion that Parvati, the mountain Rajakanya, should be married to Shiva.

So the wedding preparations started in full swing. But the problem was that Lord Shiva was an ascetic and there was no member in his family. It was believed that a groom has to go with his family and ask for the bride's hand.

Now in such a situation, Lord Shiva decided to take the Dakinis, ghosts and witches along with him. Being ascetic, Shiva was not aware of how to prepare for marriage, then his daikins and witches decorated him with ashes and put a garland of bones.

When this unique procession reached the door of Parvati, all the gods were surprised. The women standing there also ran away in fear.

Parvati's mother could not accept Lord Shiva in this strange form and she refused to give her daughter's hand. Finally, Lord Shiva was bathed in divine water and decorated with silk flowers. When Lord Shiva reached this divine form, Parvati's mother immediately accepted him and the marriage ceremony started in the presence of Brahma.

Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva garlanded each other and this marriage took place. The time limit for theatrical performance was about 1 hour 30 minutes.
